Organizational Charts

Organizational charts can be arranged in many different fashions. Here are some links to both some traditional and non-traditional organizational charts.

Performance Evaluation Forms

These forms are used as part of a formal performance evaluation system. As can be seen, performance evaluation forms are of many types. Some libraries have both the employee and the supervisor fill out forms; in others, just the supervisor completes the form.

Position Descriptions

A position description briefly describes the major duties and responsibilities of a position. Position decriptions are used for many purposes. They tell an employee what is included in the position they are accepting or presently hold.They are also used as a basis for preparing performance ojectives,evaluating an employee's performance or establishing training plans.

Strategic Plans

A strategic plan is the outcome of a planning process in which an institution defines its strategy or direction and explains how its resources are being allocated to allow the organization to pursue this strategy.

Budgets and Budget Forms

Many libraries, especially publicly supported libraries, make their budgets available to the general public. This section of the website provides links to some of these budgets.
