"[T]his book with easy to read, well worded reviews and other data, should find a home in every public library as well as community college libraries supporting science fiction study. This book makes you want to go out and read all these good science fiction adventures."?Community and Junior College Libraries
"[e]xemplary organization and layout...the book lies open nicely."?Voya
"Readers' advisory can be one of the most rewarding aspects of library work. You get a chance to share some of your favorite books with eager readers and try to provide them with an engaging and enjoyable reading experience. Of course, then there are the times when the advisee is fixated on a genre that you know little about. Or seems so well read that you should be the one asking for a recommendation. Or is just plain picky. Those are the times when this book is useful...for those who want to dive deep into sci fi, or just want to get their feet wet but don't know where to start, this book will help."?The Shy Librarian
"For science fiction buffs, this volume of the Genreflecting Advisory Series may lead them to a title they have not yet read. For that, the reader will be eternally grateful. For the librarian who isn't a science fiction buff, this will be a true help when working with patrons who are interested in the genre...Recommended for high school libraries where science fiction is a motivation to read and for all public libraries."?Gale-Reference Reviews
"Like other volumes in the extremely useful series, this title will not only serve as a readers' advisory and collection development tool but will also educate librarians. Recommended for public and high-school libraries."?Booklist/Reference Books Bulletin
